This bursary supports South African matriculants pursuing first-year engineering studies at a public university in 2027. It is open to current matriculants and people who matriculated in 2025, for the listed engineering degrees.

Current matriculant or matriculated in 2025, starting first-year tertiary studies in 2027
Grade 11 final results or Grade 12 certificate
English Level 4
Pure Mathematics Level 5
Physical Science Level 5
Conditional acceptance to study an eligible engineering discipline at a public university, if available
Must not hold another bursary
BEng Tech qualifications will not be considered
